Adventures of Marsha

Meet Marsha.  She has been doing some traveling, and she has been hanging out at the Western Idaho Fair this year.  The year is 2022.  She is a quilter and likes to relax outdoors.

This is a new page to the Doll Quilt Blog, so it has mostly extra photos of Marsha on her adventures, and some short descriptions.

Send me a comment and let me know which state you think this town, of Reno, is in.

I went with my friends C and K to visit C's daughter, Mary, in Florida.  Here are some photos that were not included in my blog post of May and June 2022.

Glendale, AZ

K took this photo of me, next to this gargantuan alien we met at McDonalds, in Roswell, NM.

K and I at the border of west Texas.  I have asked Astrid to make me a hat like K's.

#40 in that creepy RV park in Ballinger, TX.
After surviving the night at the RV park in Ballinger, TX, we visited their lovely train depot.
Chillin' with Mary, after I fell backward into the Gulf of Mexico.
Me on the roof of the Blazer, when we were visiting Keesler AFB, MS.  Mary was checking out the final result of all her hard work there, last winter.  So, I watched from the roof.
I found a great place for a nap, in the back of the Blazer, on our trip to Georgia from Florida.

Ft Gaines, AL  We were on our way back to FL from our visit in Georgia to the Andersonville Confederate Prison/POW Museum/Veterans' Cemetery National Monument.
Peanut Company in Ft Gaines, AL   Just another photo op.  I like the name.
In front of Mary's house in Ft. Walton Beach, FL.  She has a nice house.
We hung out a lot in Mary's kitchen.

We had to leave our fun with Mary and head back west.  On our second day on the road, we broke down in Breaubridge, Louisiana.
We really wanted to browse around this shop in a brightly colored old house, but we missed our opportunity on Monday.  Oh well.  We left early on Wednesday morning with our repaired RV and headed to Texarkana, TX.  Texarkana is where the RV park had swings that matched my outfit!
C made me this peace shirt, at Mary's house.  She used some leftovers from Mary's sewing project, that she had put on my head, in a previous photo (above).
North Oklahoma border.  We cut through the panhandle on the way to Kansas.
At the gas station in Goodland, Kansas, just before heading north on Highway 27, heading to Nebraska.

This is after C and I got back, to the RV, after being chased by a dog in the ever rising winds of Pine Bluff, WY.

Then we made it back to Idaho and K stayed with us a week.  Then we drove her down to Reno, Nevada, and left her with her daughter, L.  Following are photos from that trip.
I wore my Cactus High shirt, for when I met L.  She graduated from Cactus High . . . a long time ago.

The trip from Reno to Meridian is just one day.  After we got back, I got to working on my quilt to put in the fair.

It was the 125th Anniversary of the Western Idaho Fair.  That was also the fair theme, this year.
