Kirsten here. I am taking a break from quilting. Astrid is sewing a Halloween costume for Willa. I think Jane and Marsha are also chilling out. Gracie is the only one, I know of, that is actually working on a quilt.
Jane arranged the quilting space to get ready for her, upcoming, January Tutorial. But she is not quite ready to get started, so Gracie is taking the opportunity to make another quilt. It is major sunny outside today, and I really should go outside and enjoy it before the weather turns wet and cold.Wednesday, October 22, 2025

Which Hat did Gracie Choose?
Gracie chose her hat. The one she did not choose is supposed to be for Marsha, but I think Willa has captured it for her own. Astrid has been a very busy sewer these last couple of weeks. She made Willa a stuffed doll named Tilly. Tilly is a little freaky looking.
Gracie chose the tall hat with the wide brim! I think Willa is sneaking up on Gracie, with her Tilly doll! Who is doing some quilting??

Astrid has been busy very busy sewing witches hats. She made her first one about a week ago and gave it to Gracie to try out. She is making another one, which is a little smaller than the first one. The first one is a bit on the tall side. Gracie will get to pick which one she wants.
Astrid actually quilted the brims and the crown of the hats. This one she is top-stitching around the edge of the brim. The crown part is on top of Astrid's dress form. She held up the brim, so we can see her great circle making skills. Astrid said her next project is a stuffed doll for Willa. That sounds fun!Tuesday, October 7, 2025
Marsha Finished Another Gwen Marston Tribute Quilt!
Just days after the quilt show was over, Marsha finished another tribute quilt. This one is in Gwen Marston style. Marsha really knocked herself out on this one!
She was trying to get it done in time for the show, but it just was not going to happen with all the business just prior to the show. The show went very well. Our only glitch was trying to keep the skirt on our admissions table from coming undone. We need to put some Velcro on it for a permanent fix. Otherwise, we got lots of enthusiastic comments from people visiting the show. Next time, we will have a way for people to vote for their favorite quilt, so we can award a ribbon for people's choice. We do not award ribbons in our show because all the quilts are amazing and very well done. It is our chance to show off and that is enough.
