Happy summer! Astrid here. Marsha, Willa, and I have just been chillin' together this summer. Between going out to our wading pool and being inside with the AC, we have managed to keep ourselves busy. I am making myself a new pinafore dress and have been making blocks for a new quilt.
I am working on a liberated wedding ring quilt. I was inspired by Gwen Marston's wedding ring quilts. I started with some proper granny fabrics, then added a few contemporary fabrics that were a little lighter in tone. I think it is balancing out rather well.I am almost finished with my dress. I just need to sew the straps on and add a hook-n-eye at the waist, in the back. I already finished the button-hole and a button, last night, to fasten it on the back. I had to practice my button-holes and my machine was not being helpful.Willa took the photos of me while I was working on my dress. She is becoming quite the little photographer.
